OUR PROFESSOR AT WAY OF LIFE BJJ IS RODRIGO ALMEIDA, NATIVE OF VILA VELHA, E.S., BRAZIL.

RODRIGO HAS BEEN TRAINING BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU SINCE 2003 AND HAS COMPETED IN MANY TOURNAMENTS LIKE NYBJJF, GRAPPLERS QUEST, NAGA FIGHT, AND IBJJF. ​HE HAS BEEN LEADING CLASSES SINCE 2009, AND THROUGHOUT THE YEARS, SHARPENING WAYS TO TEACH CLASSES FOR KIDS AND ADULTS.
IN 2015, RODRIGO EARNED HIS RANK OF BLACK BELT IN THE ART OF BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU. ​RODRIGO PRIDES HIMSELF ON BUILDING UP HIS STUDENTS FROM THE MOMENT THEY ENTER OUR SCHOOL.! NO MATTER IF IT'S YOUR FIRST DAY PARTICIPATING IN ANY ACTIVITY, PROFESSOR RODRIGO MAKES SURE THAT HE PROVIDES HIS STUDENTS WITH FULL ATTENTION AND THE NECESSARY TOOLS/DETAILS TO SUCCEED IN THE LEARNING OF THE ART!

KEN SCOURTAS is our Assistant Coach at Way of Life BJJ.
Coach Ken primarily focus on coaching our BJJ for children practitioners and our new white belt students. Fitness and sports have always been a part of Coach Ken’s life.
In addition to BJJ, Ken has partaken in many other sports and activities:

ACE Certified Group Exercise Instructor.

Areas of fitness certification: TRX, Pilates, barre, Bootcamp, Total Body Conditioning, Fitness boxing, Special Olympic trainer, Kettlebells and more!

Former NCAA Student Athlete- Member of the SSU Vikings Varsity Lacrosse team.

Played post college lacrosse for Port City and Middlesex Valley Lacrosse Club until 2018

Passions include music, research science and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
- MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS -
Coach KEITH LABAO has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2010. Throughout the years of learning the gentle art, Keith has always made sure of not missing details when teaching bjj tecniques. He earned his black belt in 2022.

Coach Keith has also expanded his knowledge by learning bjj tecniques without the traditional uniform, which is referred to as NO Gi. It has become his main area of focus in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He enjoys working with everyone, from beginners to regular competitors.
